Saint Vincent Surgery Center Surpasses the 8,000 Mark

More than 8,000 patients passed through the Saint Vincent Surgery Center in fiscal 2004, making it a record year for this nationally recognized facility. Patient satisfaction scores remained among the top five percent in the nation, region and state, even during such a busy year. Congratulations to the Saint Vincent Surgery Center staff for an exceptional job.

The Saint Vincent Surgery Center staff’s reputation certainly precedes them. More than 800 patients underwent procedures at the center during August. It’s the record for the most patients through the center in one month.

The Saint Vincent Surgery Center continues to receive top patient satisfaction scores that place the center among the leading ambulatory surgical centers in the state, region and nation. The center’s scores for the most recent rating quarter are:

• Top 6 percent in the northwestern United States
• Top 5 percent in Pennsylvania

The Saint Vincent Surgery Center staff received particularly high marks in a number of areas, including courtesy of the X-ray technologists, nurses’ concern for patient comfort, helpfulness of the telephone personnel and courtesy toward patient family members.
