We're Finding Lung Cancer Earlier So We Can Treat You Sooner
Have you ever had a doctor tell you that it might be lung cancer, but it can't be diagnosed at this stage? Those days are over thanks to Saint Vincent and the superDimension i·Logic™ Inreach bronchoscopy. The superDimension bronchoscopy helps doctors reach previously inaccessible regions of the lung to detect small lung lesions. By extending the reach of conventional bronchoscopy, the superDimension bronchoscopy enables diagnoses before any other system available, in some cases even before symptoms are evident. If you think you may be a candidate for the procedure, talk to your primary care physician and schedule an appointment with a pulmonologist to get your superDimension bronchoscopy at Saint Vincent.
Thomas Moore received a superDimension bronchoscopy after a traditional bronchoscopy showed no conclusive results. The SuperDimension bronchoscopy showed that Thomas had lung cancer in the outer areas of his lungs. Thanks to his early diagnosis, Thomas underwent surgery and is now receiving follow up treatment. In order to better prepare yourself for an appointment or to assess your current level of risk, the American Cancer Society provides a Health Check test that allows you to enter your information and receive feedback.
