Stopping Heart Attacks
Every second counts when you are having a heart attack. The longer your heart is deprived of a blood supply and oxygen, the more heart muscle is damaged. Saint Vincent cardiologists, who are at the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offer advanced technology such as thrombolytic therapy to stop a heart attack and restore blood flow, thus minimizing the damage.

The American College of Cardiology says that door-to balloon time is an indicator of the success of your cath lab. This is the time it takes a patient to be treated, from the time they enter the ER until the problem is corrected. In the last quarter, we had 100% below the national 90 minute goal.
