Opening Blocked Arteries

Saint Vincent cardiologists are pioneers in the treatment of blocked
arteries. They were the first in the region to offer patients a new
technology that actually reduces the reoccurrence of blockages (restenosis) – the drug-eluting stent. They also use laser atherectomy, directional atherectomy and rotational atherectomy to remove plaque from arteries and balloon angioplasty and stenting to compress plaque blockages and fully expand narrowed or blocked sections.
