CHA is proud to be a part of the Campaign for Children's Health Care, a non-partisan coalition of groups dedicated to making accessible and affordable health care for all children a national priority. We all know how important it is to ensure that everyone has access to health care--with nearly 46 million people uninsured, and an astonishing 9 million of those children, this problem has become a source of great concern for all of us. Yet it seems sometimes that nothing can get done in Washington to find a solution, even for the millions of uninsured children who suffer from the physical and developmental problems that accompany the lack of adequate care.
This campaign offers each and every one of you the chance to ask Congress and the Administration to work together find a solution to provide comprehensive, affordable, high-quality health coverage for all children. This is not an effort to endorse one solution or legislative proposal over another. Rather, it is an opportunity to make our voices heard and to tell policymakers that no child in our nation should have to go without adequate care. As CHA continues to advocate accessible and affordable health care for all, raising awareness around the need to cover all children is an important step toward that goal.
Please take just a moment and visit the campaign website and submit the electronic petition calling on Congress and the Administration to seek solutions for covering children. Efforts to cover the uninsured through our Covering a Nation initiative remain a priority for our ministry, so it is important for all of us to join in this effort and ensure the ministry's collective voice becomes an integral part of the petition campaign. I thank each of you in advance for your participation.
