Saint Vincent therapists provide evaluations, therapy and medication-management programs for outpatients. Psychiatric services are provided by board-certified/eligible physicians, including doctors also certified in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Licensed therapists provide services dealing with a wide range of issues, including eating disorders, anxiety and depressive disorders, reactive attachment disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, as well as assistance in addressing a variety of life circumstance problems.

Saint Vincent has a psychiatric nursing unit for adults needing treatment in a hospital setting. The behavioral services staff also provide consultations for medical or surgical patients, perform neuropsychological evaluations, offer psychological services and serve as part of the emergency team.

Our counselors provide both outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs for substance abuse patients. We also provide alcohol and drug abuse consultations for medical or surgical inpatients.
As professionals in the treatment of substance abuse, we are also involved in educating the community about substance abuse, act as advocates for those being treated, consult with community agencies and train other counselors in employee assistance programs.

Gay Lipchik, Ph.D., of Saint Vincent Health Psychology Services, is a nationally recognized headache expert. Lipchik is a licensed clinical psychologist and specialist in the psychological and behavioral management of chronic pain and headaches. She is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and received her master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Ohio University.
