The Saint Vincent Star of Life Award
Honoring our region's finest paramedics and EMTs

To honor our region's most outstanding paramedics and EMTs, The Saint Vincent Emergency Department established the Star of Life Award, an award presented in honor of EMS Week.
 
This award will now be presented biennially, every other year, with the next award presentation occurring May 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Saint Vincent McGarvey Learning Center.  This year, the nominations have been opened to the general public and criteria has been changed.  EMTs and paramedics can be nominated by their peers in the emergency care field or by members of the general public whose lives have been directly impacted by the care provided by these dedicated individuals.

The deadline to submit is May 7, 2012.  Nominations are limited to EMS and paramedics from Erie, Clarion, Crawford, Forest, Mercer, and Warren Counties.

Two to four finalists will be selected from the pool of nominees, and the winner will be announced at the awards event.  Should your nominee be selected as a finalist, you will be asked to e-mail a photograph of the nominee and provide contact information so that we can contact the nominee's family.
