Patient Promise Colon and Rectal SurgeryServices

Specializing only in the care and protection of your colon and rectal health, Colorectal Physicians & Surgeons of Pennsylvania was founded to deliver the highest quality care in a comfortable, approachable atmosphere. The practice was designed from the ground up to provide a fundamentally different experience for those choosing to visit us. We take our time to understand the issues you have affecting your body. Similarly, we also enjoy providing health-sustaining visits, including screening colonoscopies for the prevention of colon cancer.

The focus of our staff is to provide up-to-the-minute care in all aspects of colon and rectal surgery, with particular interests in colon and rectal cancer, diverticular disease, functional disorders, and benign anorectal disorders. Our surgeons have special expertise in all forms of laparoscopic colon surgery, offering this treatment for colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, colon polyps, rectal prolapse and chronic constipation. Working as part of a community based, academic medical center, an integrated team of colon and rectal surgeons, gastroenterologists, general surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists work together to provide the best possible care for patients in our tri-state area.

We provide comprehensive care for patients with virtually every disorder of the colon, rectum and anus.  This extends well beyond our devotion to providing major colon surgery in a minimally invasive fashion.  We are equally motivated to exhausting every medical option before recommending surgery for anal and rectal disorders.  If surgery is ultimately necessary, every sphincter sparing option will be discussed with you.

The team is especially sensitive to the anxieties and concerns of patients who have anorectal and colorectal disease. At each stage of care, team members work closely with patients to alleviate any physical and/or emotional stress they may experience. When patients are referred to Colorectal Physicians & Surgeons of Pennsylvania for evaluation and treatment, the department's staff maintains close contact with referring physicians, ensuring continuity of care.

Referring physicians receive timely reports summarizing their patients' clinical course and care, and patients are returned to their personal physician once treatment is completed. The team is very willing to work with physicians or case managers at medical groups who would like to provide a portion of their patients' care, such as pre-operative testing or on-going follow-up care.
