Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Review the current ACP Guidelines and other literature for DVT prophylaxis for hospitalized and chronically ill patients.
- Describe anticoagulation choice and dosing for prophylaxis in special patient populations.
- Outline important steps for avoiding medication errors using anticoagulation in patients at risk for DVT.
