CHALLENGES IN VENOUS THROMBOEMBOLIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
-Discuss the hypercoagulability workup including indications, specific testing, and what to do with the results.
-Recognize the indications and options for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis.
-Review the challenges that are presented in caring for patients with Factor V Leiden mutations.
