Need/Educational Gap
Caring for cardiovascular patients is an ever changing challenge. There are new treatment modalities including new pharmaceuticals and improved devices. Surgical treatment options are sometimes under-recognized. The management of heart failure patients in the hospital setting has new expectations as well. Inconsistent approaches to recognizing and screening for various heart diseases continue.
Goal
The goal of this activity is to increase the participant’s knowledge and competence in the area of advanced cardiac treatments including the application of evidence based guidelines. This activity seeks to improve patient outcomes through reinforcement of current knowledge and implementation of best practices.
Syllabus Materials
