MIRACLES HAPPEN
That’s the theme of this year's Festival of Trees where all proceeds from this event will benefit a most deserving cause – the Children’s Miracle Network at Saint Vincent Health Center, where MIRACLES HAPPEN every day! Children's Miracle Network (CMN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping hospitalized kids by raising funds and awareness for children's hospitals. The 170 premier hospitals affiliated with Children's Miracle Network help 14 million kids each year. Saint Vincent Health Center was selected to join CMN in 1986 and has since provided services exclusively for children and families in the Erie region. Together, Saint Vincent and the hundreds of Children's Miracle Network corporate sponsors and individual donors have raised more than $3 million to help children throughout Erie County. All funds raised locally stay in Erie; that's the promise to all donors.
2012 Highlights
Festival attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy nearly 100 professionally decorated Christmas trees that will glisten brightly throughout the Gallery of Trees. Each tree is uniquely decorated, so when it comes to choosing a favorite, it's nearly impossible! Each guest will be provided with a ticket to vote for their favorite tree, and the winning decorator will be announced on Sunday evening at the close of the Festival.
The "No Room at the Inn" display of more than 70 nativity scenes, presented by Erie DAWN, will again showcase how each part of the world depicts the Christmas story. Our "Journey to Bethlehem" features a life size nativity scene, courtesy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
We are excited to present once again present the magical Santa's Castle, the North Pole Experience. Attendees can tour our version of Santa’s Castle and visit the Gingerbread Bakery, the Elves’ Workshop, the Reindeers’ Den and the Peppermint Ballroom. Be sure to tell Santa your dreams as you meet him at his Majestic Throne!
For an additional cost, kids will again have the chance to share Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, November 24th during two seatings.
Raffle tickets will be on sale where you will have the chance to win one of the many decorated gift trees and one of nearly 50 custom gift baskets, each valued at more than $75.
There will be live entertainment to enjoy and a holiday marketplace to help you with your holiday shopping. This event is for all ages and is sure to jump-start the holiday season! All proceeds benefit the Children's Miracle Network at Saint Vincent.
