The McKenzie Method

For the 7 million Americans suffering from the common health problem of lower back pain, medication and surgery often seem to be the only answer. If you’re one of them, you can find welcome relief through a physical therapy plan called the McKenzie Method, which focuses on learning proper posture and performing a routine of prescribed stretches and exercises.

Physical therapists at Rehab Solutions are certified in the McKenzie Method, which teaches patients the correct way to lift and sit and perform daily activities and helps them to stop doing the movements and postures that cause them pain. Qualified candidates often see
relief very quickly.

Following an assessment, The McKenzie Method moves to treatment and continues with prevention. McKenzie treatment uniquely emphasizes education and active patient involvement in the management of their treatment in order to decrease pain quickly, restore function and independence and minimize the number of visits to the clinic.
